The Snickers commercial made a big broo-ha-ha during the Superbowl. One guy starts to eat a Snickers, then his buddy snags a bite, and then another…and finally their lips meet. Heaven forbid….and then they decide to do something “manly” to cleanse themselves. OK, so that was a bit homophobic….but it was funny!

Tim Hardaway was a very good point guard for the Warriors before he blew out his knee and went on to play some mediocre ball for the Heat. I was a fan of his ability, even though he was a bit on the dim side when it came to his verbal skills. Those skills became more evident this past week with the coming out of a former NBA player, and he was rightfully banished from future NBA events by David Stern.

Is Tim Hardaway a bad person? Since I don’t know him, I don’t know - but I’d say probably not. Does he dislike gay people? Yeah, that is apparent by his remarks. Can he be “fixed” in the future? I’d like to think so, as history has shown us many people who have had negative thoughts, feelings or opinions about certain “types” of people, and had an about-face because of some life-altering encounter.

For an about-face, go the video store and rent “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner.” An awesome movie that was decades ahead of its time, and a movie that holds up today, 40 years post release.

OK, we are oh-so-close to having the Chat & Instant Messanger up and working. I was just chatting with my web developer and a member in Romania, and it was all good. We could IM each other…..use our video cameras and microphones.

So, what that means is that through BigJock.com we will be able to send text messages as well as see each other in real time as well as talk to one another……all for the single admission price to the website….which we all know is free!

I went to visit a couple of laser eye doctors today about getting LASIK and getting rid of my glasses once and for all. I am torn here. I have heard it works wonders, hey, Tiger Woods had it done. But at the same time, I feel a bond with my dorky glasses.

Hmmm…time to ponder and see what’s important!

OK, so San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom had an affair. He’s great looking, has nice hair….and he dates 19 year-olds. He will probably win again because he is the mayor most men want to be and most gay men want to be with.

I will vote for him, not because he fools around, but because he is one of the only politicians that actually uses common sense when it comes to government - not partisan politics.
