OK, granted, this is THE Trump, but my goodness!

When I checked in, sitting in the little envelope was a $50 coupon for the salon/spa good for a discount on a massage or facial.

I figured times are tough, so maybe they are giving away the services to keep people employed. Uhh….no.

The classic Trum Massage is $150 for 60 minutes, and if you want that ever-so-popular Thai Herbal Massage, you’ll need to fork over $230! And if you want to go whole-hog, grab the 90-minute Calming Sapphires Massage for $275!

Facials start at $150 for fellas, but the ultra-deluxe Kate Somerville (who?) will set you back $250 for an hour.

If I am forking out 2 bills for a massage, something happy better be happening in the last five minutes!

The plane ride into Las Vegas was almost empty - just 55 people on a Southwest jet that holds 140. Maybe that is why they are almost giving away hotel rooms in town these days.

I got a great deal on my room here at The Trump, about 80% off standard prices. The location kinda sucks, as I am sure they anticipated more development in the surrounding areas. There are empty lots next door and no building activity.

The hotel however, is awesome except for one thing: A Facility Charge of $15 per day. Nobody mentioned this when making reservations and you cannot decline the charge at the front desk even though you need to initial the sign-in card accepting the fee.

Bogus.

For my extra $15 I get two 12-oz bottles of water and two 0.5-oz bags of coffee that I may or may not use. Oh, and a newspaper. Wow.
