I have been questioning this since the day he was elected - Is Barack Obama a friend of the Gay Community?

OK, he has many things on his plate these days. The economy is in shambles, car companies are going bankrupt, and Chrysler may need to liquidate, but he had a chance to do something simple with a stroke of a pen - eliminate the “Don’t Ask - Don’t Tell” policy from the US Armed Forces.

During his campaign, Obama used words like silly and stupid to describe what Bill Clinton implemented in the 1990’s.

In the last twelve months, over 10,000 men and women have been discharged from the service because they did an Adam Lambert.

This week, push came to shove and the chance to live up to promises, but The Supreme Court declined to review the case, and Obama is in no hurry to ruffle the bible-thumping nutcases who think Don’t Ask is gone too far already.

Obama is a politician first and foremost and may eventually get around to doing things for the gay community - provided they suit his needs and can benefit him or his party. In the meantime, he eats.
